Knitting Projects

I keep wondering about the reproducive nature of knitting. As I'm knitting up a particular project I'm not just thinking of the project itself: I'm considering the next few steps, the future projects that I'm working on, an the person that I'm knitting for. The fact that I usually knit for myself is irrelevant. And the fact that I acquire new projects in my "project queue" at a rate about double the rate at which I finish projects is also irrelevant. The sheer number and beauty of all of the things that I could possibly knit is so wonderful that I could not possibly want anything else.
